Communications
Parent Portal
Our Parent Portal is an important place for parents to stay in contact with the college. It includes the Term & Assessment Calendars, newsletters, school reports, information updates commonly used forms and parent slips.
Contacting the College
Parents/guardians are always welcome at Good Counsel College; however, due to staff commitments, it is wise to book appointments.
The student’s home room teacher is the initial contact person in the college for parents/guardians. The home room teacher can provide information about students and should also be the recipient of information about students. Appointments are to be made with the home room teacher prior to arriving at the college.
Members of the Leadership Team try to see parents or guardians who call in to talk about urgent matters, but we cannot guarantee that they will always be available to do so. Appointments may be booked through the college office by phoning 07 4063 5300 between 8am and 3.30pm – Monday to Friday.
Providing Information and Updating Records
It is essential for the welfare of the students and the protection of the college community that the Principal is informed of any special needs (for example medical) at enrolment or as soon afterwards as the needs become known.
Mobile SMS text, email and social media posts (Facebook) are used as communication tools between the college and home. Please inform the college immediately of any changes to contact or emergency details to ensure important information is received.
Urgent Messages
Urgent messages for students may be left with the office staff. Students will be called to the office to collect messages.
